SEPA: Council adopts regulation on Credit Transfers and Direct Debits

In Brussels on 28th February, the SEPA council adopted a regulation setting technical and business requirements for credit transfers and Direct Debit transactions in Euros. The regulation constitutes a key element of SEPA – the single euro payments area – an
EU-wide integrated market for credit transfers and Direct Debits with no distinction between national and cross-border payments.  It sets 1st February 2014 as the migration deadline for credit transfers and for Direct Debits. For more on this story follow this link.
